Information to those signing up for Entry Level Clinics:  The USSF has not mandated a minimum age for people who want to become certified as Referees at Grade 8 and Grade 9 (they have mandated that the minimum age to upgrade to Grade 7 is 17 years of age).  The Kansas State Referee Committee, in compliance with the USSF will certify all Referee candidates who successfully fulfill the Grade 8 and Grade 9 requirements (i.e., attend the Entry Level Clinic for the required number of hours, successfully pass the USSF Certification test, and pay the required registration fee).  Referee Certification by the USSF does not guarantee that a Referee will receive match assignments from any league.  We suggest you check with all leagues that you would be interested in contracting your services to, to understand what qualifications - in addition to USSF certification - if any, they might require in order to provide you with assignments.

*****NOTICE***** Clinic Requirements for Referee Training and Certification

Advanced Referee Clinic
The Advanced Referee Clinic is a mandatory clinic for Grade 7, 6, and 5 Referees, and any Grade 8 Referee that is upgrading during the 2011 Registration year. Grade 8 Referees not upgrading should attend a regular Recertification Clinic, which will be scheduled after October 2010. A required fitness test will be conducted in conjunction with the Advanced Clinic.
