New Fitness Standards for State Referees

posted Jul 10, 2015, 6:43 PM by Cory Kramer   [ updated Jul 10, 2015, 6:43 PM ]

Beginning July 1, 2015, the Grade 6 State Referee Fitness Test standard will change to the following times:

Sprint Test
  • 6 consecutive 40 meter sprints at a maximum of 6.6 seconds per sprint

Interval Test

  • Maximum of 35 seconds for the 150 meter run
  • Maximum of 40 seconds for the 50 meter walk

Establishing these fitness standards will assist in our collective efforts in improving the integrity and goals of the U.S. Soccer Federation Referee Program.

These times will also assist with the management of assignments for top level amateur and professional games.

Kansas will adopt these requirements during 2016, as is the States rights as granted by US Soccer.
