The Futsal season is fast approaching.  There will be more teams, more matches to officiate and yes, higher expectations of the Referees, (nothing new here).  In response to the need for Referees, we have scheduled a number of classes to provide you with your certification for the 2014 season.

If you have never been certified for Futsal, you are required to attend a 2 session Futsal ELC.  The class will review the Laws of the Futsal game and will highlight the differences between outdoor and Futsal.  In addition to attending both sessions of the class you will be required to pass a written test (minimum score of 75%), which will be given, at the end of the course.

If you have previously certified for Futsal then you are required to attend the 1-day Futsal Recertification class.  In addition to attending the class, you too will be required to pass the written test (minimum score of 75%), which will be given, at the end of the class.

The test for new and recertifying officials is the same test.  To prepare for the sessions, we recommend that you go to the following URL.  http://www.ussoccer.com/futsal/laws-of-the-game.aspx   You can download the Laws of the Game (we will NOT provide law books in the class - this is the only way to get the law book) and can also review the prepared videos on each of the Laws.  It is your responsibility to prepare, so take advantage of this resource.

We look forward to your commitment to be the best Futsal Referee you can be.  See you in class.
