A Partnership Opportunity with the KRDP

Your club is invited to partner with the Kansas Referee Development Program (KRDP) to provide additional layers of support for referee recruitment, retention and development initiatives throughout the state of Kansas.

Who is the Club Referee Liaison? 

A volunteer role serving both the club and the KRDP supporting referee recruitment, retention and development efforts.

Ideally, this person is already a referee, such as a parent in the club who referees or who has refereed. That said, being a certified US Soccer referee is not required. 

What kinds of tasks/initiatives would the Club Referee Liaison help support?

These most likely include: 

• Providing law interpretations & changes to coaches, players & families
• Assists with in-house recruiting & retention efforts
• Provides a referee perspective to club leadership
• Reports to KRDP leadership addressing concerns and providing contextual perspectives
• Supports prevention/disciplinary efforts and follows up with referees in the club who experience referee abuse or assault.
